As Mizoram Assembly Polls inch closer each passing day, Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland President Temjen Imna Along voiced confidence in the party. “There can be no prediction on elections. The campaign led by our Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Nagaland Deputy CM Yanthungo Patton and also Rituraj Sinha - all of them, together with our friends from the neighbourhood, especially Tripura, have been working very Hard on the ground. So, I think we will score better than before. A nationalist party like the BJP is to be well understood by the Mizo people. They do not have the right perception of the BJP. People of Mizoram should put their faith in BJP and vote for our candidates,” said Temjen Imna Along. Watch the full video here.

00:00 I think we will score better than before.
00:03 Nationalist party like the Bharatiya Janata Party
00:07 is to be well understood
00:10 by the Mizo people especially.
00:13 The people of Mizoram should impose their faith
00:17 on the Bharatiya Janata Party. We are very optimistic that
00:21 the BJP party here in Mizoram
00:24 will do much better. In terms of World Bank it will increase a lot.
00:29 We want people to come together
00:32 with Modi ji, with BJP, with
00:36 agendas for its people to grow
00:39 cohesively.
00:40 The Mizoram Assembly elections is around the corner.
00:42 How is your campaigning going on?
00:44 What are your predictions? How many seats you will get?
00:48 No, there can be no
00:51 prediction on elections.
00:54 Campaign led by our
00:57 Honourable Union Minister Kiran Rajiju ji,
01:00 Y Pathan from Nagaland, Deputy CM,
01:03 and also our Rituraj Sinha ji,
01:07 Anthony ji, all of them together with all our
01:11 friends from the neighbours, especially Tripura,
01:15 my Honourable MLA there, Pramod ji,
01:18 all of them have been working very hard on the ground.
01:22 Kikon sahib is also there who is in charge.
01:25 So, I think
01:30 we will score better than before.
01:33 Sir, what are the key issues of Mizoram?
01:36 If BJP will form government?
01:41 So, what do you have to say about that?
01:45 See, the people of Mizoram,
01:50 the Mizos, the Brus, the Chakmas,
01:53 they are a people
01:58 that is very similar to the Naga people also,
02:03 especially the Mizos, and very
02:07 strong-hearted and very indigenous.
02:12 Nationalist party,
02:17 like the Bharatiya Janata Party, is to be well understood
02:22 by the Mizo people especially.
02:25 And I think we need to work
02:29 more hard and engage with them, because the perception that they have
02:34 about the Bharatiya Janata Party is
02:38 not the right perception. The Bharatiya Janata Party
02:43 is a political party that is
02:46 nationalistic in every way, visionary
02:50 with leaders like our most honorable
02:54 Prime Minister, whom I call Guruji,
02:58 Narendra Modiji, Amit Shahji is there, even Naddaji is there.
03:03 You can see the vision with which they work.
03:08 And I believe that Mizoram
03:12 is yet to understand it.
03:15 I was surprised when MNF said
03:19 that they are in alliance with BJP
03:23 only on issue-based. This itself shows
03:27 that MNF has no agenda.
03:31 The people of Mizoram need an agenda of development,
03:36 an agenda of coercive,
03:40 progressive, prosperous state,
03:43 which the human resource here is wonderfully rich.
03:47 So, I think
03:51 the people of Mizoram should
03:54 impose their faith on the Bharatiya Janata Party
03:58 and vote for our
04:02 candidates, looking at Modiji's vision,
04:06 his, you know,
04:09 wanting to bring all of us to the mainstream
04:13 in terms of development, in terms of progress,
04:16 so, Mizo young men and women are
04:21 educated, they are strong,
04:24 they need agenda-based
04:28 political party that is nationalistic,
04:32 at the same time, coercive to the regional
04:35 thoughts, fears, and at the same time,
04:39 you know, bringing development to the last man standing.
04:43 So, you have seen what is going on here,
04:48 and we are very optimistic that the BJP party here in Mizoram
04:54 will do much better. In terms of World Bank, it will increase a lot.
04:58 In whichever terms, it is
05:02 displacement of people that goes on. The Bharatiya Janata Party is
05:08 always very sympathetic and empathetic
05:11 to all sides and angles of thought process,
05:15 and we know certain things have happened in the past,
05:21 and so, Mizoram is a
05:25 place where many are settling
05:29 and is here. So, the central leadership
05:33 viewpoint is our viewpoint.
05:37 There is no other viewpoint other than that, but
05:40 as Bharatiyas, we have to live
05:44 inclusively and be empathetic and sympathetic towards
05:49 each other and see what best can be done for its citizens.
05:53 And, influx from
05:59 the other nations is a national issue,
06:02 so we have our leaders who will
06:06 check that out. Support? There is no issue of support.
06:10 BJP leaders should form the government,
06:15 and others should support the BJP party. If they want to see change in Mizoram,
06:21 if they want to see the pace of development to grow.
06:26 Needless to say, many things about the budget and all those that happens here.
06:31 I have gone and seen
06:35 the great platform of the
06:38 Mizo people's front, and it's a very, very
06:42 inclusive and coercive platform where
06:46 all the candidates are allowed to be spoken.
06:50 Even though I can't understand the Mizo language, I asked some of my friends what they were speaking,
06:56 and each candidate was speaking about what they wanted to do for their constituency.
07:01 And, just like Nagas,
07:06 they have love for their people, for their constituency.
07:10 But with such an economy, where
07:14 the state economy is so weak,
07:17 without
07:20 the double-engined Sarkar, not issue-based,
07:24 agenda-based, we want people
07:28 to come together with Modiji, with BJP,
07:32 with agendas for its people
07:35 to grow coercively.
