Tesla Emerges Victorious in Lawsuit Over Fatal Crash, Clearing Autopilot of Blame
  • 6 months ago
Tesla has won a lawsuit alleging that its driver-assistance software was responsible for a fatal crash in 2019. The jury ruled that Tesla's autopilot feature was not at fault for the accident. Tesla is also facing legal challenges regarding its Autopilot and Full Self-Driving systems, as their names may mislead drivers into thinking they don't require human monitoring. The company has received a subpoena from the US Department of Justice. It is being investigated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for accidents involving emergency vehicles while in autopilot mode.
