The Swiss rider Pascal Grosjean, 39-years-old, former national champion and the reigning UAE - United Arab Emirates Sportsbike Champion in class Superstock 600 cm3, having scored 13 wins on 14 races in 2009, was killed in an accident which occurred only moments after he had won a race at Dubai Autodrome Motorsport Club, on Friday, 26 November 2010.

Pascal Grosjean collided with another rider during the slowdown lap about 300 metres after the finish line straight while celebrating the 12-lap Sportsbike race victory. It happened at 14h00, the third-place finisher, Britain's Tony Jordan ran into him at a speed of about 200 km/h. Both riders sustained severe injuries, being thrown into air landing on the asphalt several meters ahead. Grosjean was immediately treated and stabilised by the race doctors and later airlifted to Rashid Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours after admission. Jordan was taken to the Dubai Autodrome medical centre before being taken to Rashid Hospital by ambulance.

This was the second fatality at Dubai Autodrome in 2010, after the Belgian Christophe Hissette was killed on 23 April 2010 during a GulfSport Radical Cup race.
