00:00 A farmer from northern France, Julian Theliez, pleasantly surprised his partner by proposing
00:05 to her using his tractor to create massive letters in a field that formed the timeless
00:11 question "Will you marry me?"
00:13 Theliez had been planning this proposal for a whole year, using a tractor and brush cutters
00:18 to craft the 590-foot-long message on the five-acre field.
00:25 Theliez and his partner Elodie had been together for eight years.
00:29 On October 16, he invited her for a stroll in the flower-filled field.
00:33 Upon their arrival, a drone operator displayed the surprise message on a remote-control screen
00:39 for Elodie to see.
00:41 Theliez then went down on one knee and popped the question.
00:44 As Elodie told Reuters, "He told me he had a surprise for me and that he had to bring
00:48 me to the field.
00:50 There was a man waiting for us with a drone.
00:52 He flew the drone, and as it went up to the field, I saw the message that read 'Will
00:57 you marry me?' in giant letters.
00:59 And of course, I said yes."
01:01 Speaking to French publication Journal L'Art des Nets, Elodie said, "I could only have
01:07 said yes.
01:08 We both wanted it, and since the image was posted on social networks, I have received
01:12 a lot of messages.
01:14 I did not expect that.
01:16 It really gives us pleasure to bring comfort to people's hearts.
01:19 Right now, it's important."
