ప్రస్తుత సాధారణ ఎన్నికల్లో కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ తరుపున కంటోన్మెంట్ నియోజకవర్గంలో పోటీ  చేస్తానని ప్రజా గాయకుడు గద్దర్ కూతురు వెన్నెల తెలిపారు. గద్దర్ ఆశయాలను ముందుకు తీసుకువెళ్తానని వెన్నెల స్పష్టం చేసారు.
