00:01 - Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are going their separate ways.

00:05 - I just know like we can kind of make it through anything

00:07 because this is a tough industry to like stay married in.

00:12 - Fast forward a year,

00:12 the country star is singing a different tune.

00:15 In court docs obtained by ET,

00:17 Maren filed for divorce two weeks ago.

00:20 The 33 year old singer said,

00:21 irreconcilable differences were behind the split.

00:24 ♪ Every time, every time you say we're done ♪

00:28 ♪ Compared to the love you were running from ♪

00:31 The news confirms weeks of online speculation

00:35 after Maren stepped out twice recently without her ring.

00:38 The music stars tied the knot in 2018,

00:41 following a few years of dating,

00:43 friendship and musical collaborations.

00:45 ♪ Like a blessing, sure as it all ♪

00:49 - We had a kind of a creative partnership before we,

00:52 and a friendship before we ever became anything romantic.

00:54 So it's different now.

00:56 We still write songs a little bit together,

00:57 but I mean, it's kind of secondary to everything else.

01:00 We really just enjoy this part.

01:02 - Then in 2020, the couple welcomed their son, Hayes.

01:05 - What is the best part about motherhood for you?

01:08 - This sounds so cliche, but all the cliches are true.

01:10 I think just watching him become his own person,

01:14 like not me, not Ryan, Hayes.

01:16 - It's the sort of thing where you don't really remember

01:19 what was so great about not being a dad.

01:22 You just can't really imagine him not there.

01:24 - Back in the docs, we learned their separation date

01:26 was October 2nd, the same day as Maren's filing.

01:30 And yep, the two had a prenup.

01:33 - You know, we have our moments for sure

01:34 that aren't like rainbows and sunshine,

01:36 but we just laugh our way through it

01:37 because we know that like,

01:39 we're gonna be in this till the end

01:41 and we better get it together.
