Chandlers Country House. Rothesay. Scotland is a stunning Victorian detached country Manor House set in a prime position on the water's edge on the Isle of Bute with fabulous views across the Clyde and along the Ayrshire coast.
Chandlers was previously a luxury hotel for the rich and famous and since converted into a luxury country house for up to 26 guests. Its rather like having a luxury hotel exclusively all to yourselves.
This elegant house has a cozy feel about to it and a fantastic luxury retreat for a large family or reception gathering.
The lounge entertainment room features a grand piano along with several guitars, amps, music stands and enough comfy seating for everyone.
There is a lovely deck area to sit and relax in the evening with a fantastic view out over the sea and to the peninsula.
The dining room can seat 20 people and also has its own music bar and views over the water, hosts a selection of dining tables able to seat at least 20, furnished again with a music sound bar. The advantage of premises license, Chandlers is an excellent choice for weddings or group events.
There is an onsite chef and options for a housekeeper or assistance with catering needs.
The 11 en-suite bedrooms offer a selection of double, king, super king rooms and many with extra sofa beds. 6 of the bedrooms have wonderful sea views.
The kitchen is that of a luxury hotel, a 12 burner range, a combi oven, 2 gas ovens, many fridges & freezers, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer & enough workspace to satisfy and chef.
There are plenty of nearby places to explore and an hourly car and passenger ferry service to the mainland.
The seaside town of Rothesay is very close by, with a good selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs and independent shops.
