01:08 was a bit of a wake-up call, adding, quote,

01:13 of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in."

01:23 "You can all too easily lose your sensitivity

01:58 It was not a divorce on paper, but it was a divorce.

02:05 So from the year 2016, which is seven years ago now,

02:10 y'all have been apart.

02:15 And though they've been apart since 2016,

02:18 with Jada even moving out and buying her own home,

02:21 the duo, who shares kids Jaden Smith and Willow Smith,

02:25 have no plans to legally split.

02:28 I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us

02:32 to get a divorce.

02:33 We will work through whatever.

02:35 And I just haven't been able to break that promise.

03:05 And we are going to figure out what that looks like for us."

03:09 As for what ultimately drove them apart, Jada says this.
