00:00 According to Transport Minister Lok Siu Fook, troubled carrier My Airlines' operating license
00:05 will be suspended.
00:07 This comes after the abrupt suspension of operations by the low-cost carrier last week,
00:11 citing severe financial challenges which left thousands of passengers stranded.
00:17 Airlines typically require two licenses to operate, an air operator certificate and an
00:21 air service license.
00:23 The AOC and ASL are issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and the Malaysian Aviation
00:29 Commission respectively.
00:32 Lok said My Airline will be holding a press conference today, adding that CAM will also
00:36 issue a statement regarding the company.
00:39 He also said that his deputy, Hasbi Habibullah, will table a motion concerning My Airline
00:44 in the day one rakyat today.
00:45 Lok emphasised to My Airline the importance of prioritising the wellbeing of its 900 employees
00:51 as well as its responsibility to the airline's customers.
00:55 It is learned that My Airline is still looking for a new investor to resume operations.
