00:02 >> USC Notre Dame at Notre Dame.
00:04 Last week, boy, I don't know what Notre Dame was thinking here against Louisville.
00:07 They went in, it's a good football team, didn't have their best effort.
00:10 And quite frankly, you could almost argue they should be on a three-game losing streak
00:14 heading into this game.
00:15 So woe is me, Notre Dame.
00:17 What are they getting?
00:18 7 to 10 points by USC.
00:20 No, they're not.
00:20 Their favorite against USC at a minus 2.5 clip.
00:23 A total in this game that now sits at 60.5.
00:26 Cooler temperatures in South Bend, about 50 degrees at kickoff.
00:29 The rain looks like it's gonna hold off and some winds around 10 miles an hour.
00:33 Can this Notre Dame team, which just about everybody's done against USC,
00:36 open up that offense?
00:38 And what do we expect out of UFC and Caleb Williams on the road this week?
00:41 >> Well, let's look at the offensive side for Notre Dame first.
00:45 And I would argue DRS that if it's not a three-game losing streak,
00:48 they probably should have lost to Duke and beat Notre Dame.
00:51 Like really, that's the way it should have been.
00:53 They should probably be on the two-game losing streak right now heading into this.
00:56 And look at what it would have changed had they come into this game with a two-game losing
01:00 streak.
01:01 Their offense, 20, 21, and 14 points in the last three games.
01:05 Has the shine come off Sam Hartman a little bit?
01:07 Has the offense been figured out?
01:09 Is the offense really that good?
01:10 I think those are all fair questions to ask, which is why I give USC the advantage here.
01:14 Because it's not like they played incredibly, other than Ohio State,
01:17 the last two defenses they played haven't been great.
01:19 And I'm not going to say USC's defense is on the level of either Duke or Louisville overall.
01:24 But it's not like those defenses present anything special.
01:27 So I think USC can actually limit Notre Dame here a little bit.
01:31 And that offense just isn't as powerful as you think it is.
01:34 I think the only chance that they have is to run the football, Notre Dame,
01:38 and keep USC's offense off the field.
01:40 Like that's the way they have to win this game.
01:42 They got to grind this pace down.
01:44 USC's offense against Notre Dame's defense, Notre Dame's defense is good.
01:47 I'm not going to take anything away from them.
01:50 But they have not even remotely seen an offense close to this.
01:53 There's not even an offense that even belongs in the same sentence
01:56 as USC that Notre Dame has faced.
01:58 It's going to be a world of a different challenge.
02:00 If USC gets out to a lead, here's the way I play this, guys.
02:03 USC in the first quarter.
02:05 Because if they can't get out to a lead, guess what?
02:07 They're going to struggle the whole game.
02:09 They have to play with pace and play fast and score early and force Notre Dame to play from behind.
02:13 If they do that, USC will run away with this thing.
