'I want to finish my career at Sheffield United'

Speaking on the official Sheffield United podcast, midfielder Ollie Norwood has admitted he would like to finish his playing career with the Blades after revealing that some of the best times of his life, never mind his career, have come at Bramall Lane.

00:04 if you'd have said you'll be the record Premier League holder for Sheffield United, I wouldn't have believed you.

00:09 - You'd have gone, "What? Premier League? Only Noah would?"

00:11 - Exactly, I wouldn't have believed you.

00:13 And to be sat here today in the Premier League is just mind-blowing, really.

00:19 And you have to pinch yourself at times because of how far we have come.

00:25 The journey we've been on, there's been a roller coaster on it,

00:28 always is at this place, so I'm told.

00:30 Through the years, it always has been.

00:33 Some of the best, not just times of my career, but times of my life here,

00:37 and I genuinely mean that.

00:38 Some of the memories, I mean, when the day comes to hang the boots up,

00:46 unfortunately for some, it won't be for a long time yet, hopefully.

00:52 But you'd like to think that you could come back here as a fan,

00:55 and I genuinely mean that.

00:59 When you find a home, and it's been a home for me, and it really has.

01:03 And if you offered me the chance to probably finish my career here,

01:08 I'd probably snap your hand off for it, I'll be honest.

01:11 So that's the affiliation I feel with the club.

01:13 And as you said, it was something, again, I always go back to Chris,

01:17 and it'll seem like I'm always butchering him up, but I'm not.

01:20 But he said, "When you go to a football club,

01:23 "you want to leave it in a better state than the one you found it in."

01:27 And I think when the time comes to leave,

01:30 hopefully Sheffield United will be in a better place than when I first signed,

01:34 and all the memories will be part of the history.
