Taylor Swift told fans at the "Eras Tour" world premiere in Los Angeles that they are "main characters" in the concert film, which hits theaters on Oct. 12.

00:03 Like, this is, this is as we would say, this is a core memory for me.

00:10 And this tour, let me just preface by saying I've always had fun doing this.

00:17 I can't believe music is my career.

00:20 That's crazy to me.

00:22 Like, I've always loved it.

00:25 I've never had a fraction of the amount of fun I had on the Ares tour before ever.

00:33 So, like, I want to say, like, I have friends in this room.

00:40 I have my amazing backing vocalists in this room.

00:42 And let me just say, like, my fellow performers on the stage,

00:52 the dancers, the band, my backing vocalists, they would go out on stage every single night

00:58 in sickness or in health, in any weather conditions we would face,

01:05 regardless of what was going on in our lives.

01:08 We pranced on that stage grinning because of what met us on the other side.

01:15 And that was you.

01:16 It's how much you cared about it.

01:18 Like, that was absolutely everything.

01:23 So I think you'll see that you absolutely are main characters in this film

01:29 because that's what made the tour magical.

01:31 That's what made it different than anything I've ever done in my life is your, like,

01:35 attention to detail, your preparation, your passion, your intensity.

01:40 Like, you cared so much about these shows.

01:44 And that made all the difference for us.

01:48 It made us want to add even more shows and just keep doing the tour.

01:53 And I think that I just have never felt this way about anything,

02:00 the way that I feel about this experience that we have had and continue to have.
