The Queen traditionally spends her summers at Balmoral. But this year sadly marks the Queen's first Balmoral summer without her beloved husband, Prince Philip, who died in April. Balmoral holds a special place in the Queen's heart, with her grandchild Princess Eugenie once stating it is where the Queen is happiest.  Eugenie said in the Our Queen at Ninety documentary: "I think Granny is the most happy there. "I think she really, really loves the Highlands.
