"Construction #1" was the debut album by female-led brass-rock/jazz-rock band Ten Wheel Drive. The band was fronted by Genya Ravan who in 1968 had just left the all-female band Goldie & The Gingerbreads. Jazz-rock/funk-soul record with as much heart as technical precision, and as much dirt and sweat as brain and fines, with Ravan's astonishing strong and soulful voice.
Genya Ravan - vocals, harmonica, tambourine. Aram Schefrin - guitar, percussion. Mike Zager - organ, piano, clavinet. Louie Hoff - flute, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone. Jay Silva - flute, trumpet, flugelhorn. Richard Meisterman - trumpet, flugelhorn. Dennis Parisi - trombone. Bill Takas - bass. Leon Rix - drums, cello, percussion.
