00:21 Hi I'm Randy Vance I'm on Lake Lanier today testing Chaparral's brand new SSX 267.

00:27 This is a completely retooled big bow rider that's got a nice running surface

00:33 and a beautiful cockpit that's designed to give your passengers plenty of comfort.

00:38 Perhaps the most dramatic part of this retooling though is right here at the helm station.

00:44 You've got a contoured vinyl brow over the dashboard.

00:47 You've actually got a leather wrapped wheel with three spokes.

00:51 The dashboard though is what I think is so cool.

00:54 You've got a standard Simrad NSS Evo 3S display. It's a 12 inch.

01:00 It gives you not only all the engine information but you have navigation, audio control,

01:06 and you have sonar right in that system.

01:09 You've got buttons on either side to control the most important functions right away.

01:14 Trim tab controls right over here.

01:18 And this is equipped with an upgraded JL audio system complete with tower speakers.

01:24 One of my favorite features on this boat are the captain's chairs for the captain and the passenger.

01:30 Most chairs you have to get down on your hands and knees to find the controls to slide the seats fore and aft.

01:36 Not here. They're right here by your hip.

01:39 Here's the slide control for sliding fore and aft.

01:42 And on the right side at your right hip is the control for rotating the seat as well.

01:47 You'll notice both consoles are trimmed with carbon fiber panels.

01:51 That's a great performance look and adds to the excitement in this boat.

01:55 And when you open the passenger console it reveals the head compartment that's got a china flushing toilet,

02:01 a stainless steel sink, and a pull-out shower head.

02:05 Now one of the best spots on this boat is this L-shaped lounge right here.

02:09 You've got to walk through to the transom and a huge platform and that's thanks to the stern drive motor.

02:16 Once you get back to the transom platform you've got their infinity power step.

02:22 That drops into the water at the touch of a button and gives you a 12-inch deep seat with the platform as your table.

02:30 Now there's one other great feature back here and it's built into this L-shaped lounge.

02:36 The seat backs split. One goes forward, one goes aft, and it opens up an enormous sun pad that'll hold three to four people.

02:44 To help keep the deck organized there's storage under the left section of the seat.

02:48 There's a jump seat behind the captain's chair and underneath that is an insulated cooler.

02:53 In the center floor there's a large hatch that gives you access to a storage compartment that's large enough for all your gear.

03:01 Now the wakeboard tower is cool enough in its own right, especially with those optional tower speakers.

03:07 But another cool feature is that it operates on an electric button.

03:11 When you lower it, it changes your bridge clearance from 8'5" to 6'1".

03:17 I love the bow area. They've redesigned it and made it even deeper.

03:21 They've added a 60-inch safety rail on either side.

03:26 You've got lumbar support in the seat backs and you've got fold-down armrests.

03:32 Both of these seats lift up giving you access to enormous dry storage compartments.

03:38 The center seat cushion lifts up as well and there's a cooler underneath it.

03:43 Now it's really easy to overlook a lot of the tech stuff on board like the power arch and the infinity power step on the transom.

03:50 But Chaparral has equipped this boat with five smartphone charging stations.

03:56 In spite of that enormous engine block back there, there's plenty of room to service it as well as all the pumps and other features down below.

04:05 Just as a backup camera helps you with your vehicle, the backup camera on our 267 made it easy to back into the slip.

04:13 Chaparral has put together an outstanding package.

04:16 Its style is accented by carbon fiber dash, a leather wrapped wheel, silicone vinyl and triple stitching, diamond finish.

04:26 It's mildew resistant. We've added a C-deck floor mat optionally and you've got Mercury's V8 power.

04:34 What more could you ask for? Well maybe a radar arch with a tow point on it and tower speakers.
