00:09 In a new interview with Esquire, the 39-year-old actor discussed his role as Christian Grey

00:15 in the franchise and the impact it's had on his career.

00:18 "Are there jobs that I did that I wish maybe I hadn't done?

00:22 Maybe, yeah, but probably not the one people are thinking," the actor told the outlet.

00:37 His comments echo an interview with British GQ last year, where he said, "Look, put it

00:42 this way, it's done no harm to my career to be part of a movie franchise that has made

00:54 He added, "But I take issue with the whole thing being just a bit of a joke.
