In October this year, Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen, 95, had been required to cancel several planned engagements following doctor's orders to rest. The Queen spent an overnight stay at a medical facility for some "preliminary investigations", and subsequently cancelled her upcoming appearances in Northern Ireland and the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow. The Queen has now spent a few weeks recuperating, spending most of her time at Windsor Castle in Berkshire. But there are signs the Queen is getting back to health, as she did reportedly manage to get away for a trip to her Norfolk residence of Sandringham over the weekend.
