00:35 - Do you have a dream contestant?

00:37 'Cause you guys have already had

00:38 so many good people on "Masked Singer,"

00:40 so who's your dream person?

00:42 - I'm not saying this, just to be a big tease-a-holic,

00:45 but you guys will not believe who we have

00:49 in the future, I'll say, of "Masked Singer."

00:51 In the future, you guys are gonna lose your freaking mind.

00:54 Each season gets better and better,

00:56 but I do have a dream of one person

00:58 that I really want on the show, and that's Beyonce.

01:04 - I would love it so much.

01:05 I mean, ah, who knows, we'll do a show.

01:07 But based off of these other celebrities that we're getting,

01:10 a lot of people do the show for their kids.

01:13 So when we ask them,

01:14 well, why did you wanna do "The Masked Singer?"

01:15 They're like, my kid watches it every week,

01:17 and people on Twitter are hitting me up,

01:19 saying, hey, are you behind that costume, and it's not me,

01:21 and I wanna just do it for once.

01:23 And it's been so good for families.

01:25 "Masked Singer" is how we treat the vault.

01:28 It's a vault.

01:29 No one can talk about it.

01:31 My mom asks me, I don't mention it.

01:34 She's like, please, I just wanna know.

01:36 I'm like, no, Ma, you gotta play the game,

01:37 because it's kinda like learning a magician's trick.

01:40 It's no fun.

01:41 The trick is no fun when you learn how they do it.

01:43 So you just gotta stay tuned and keep guessing.

01:46 - And your son is now working on the show.

01:48 So how is it working with him?

01:49 Has it made it more fun and enjoyable to come to work?

01:52 I'm sure it was enjoyable before,

01:53 but now you get to be with him, so.

01:54 - I can't even tell you the feeling I have in my heart

01:57 of going like, oh my God.

01:58 I used to, as a working mom,

02:01 I couldn't wait to get home and be with,

02:03 I was like, I need to be a mom.

02:03 I need to get home and be with my baby, my boy,

02:06 now my young man.

02:07 But now to have them both integrated,

02:10 I'm like, oh my God, I'm just missing my husband.

02:13 That's all, us three together on a set.

02:16 That would be a dream come true.

02:17 But having Evan has been a life, a game changer for him,

02:21 and now for me, 'cause I get to see him be so proud

02:24 in what it looks like to exude that confidence

02:27 from doing a good job.

02:28 - Yeah, and he released music earlier this year.

02:31 Has he always wanted to be in a showbiz?

02:33 Were you always supportive of him?

02:34 Were you hesitant for him to be involved in this?

02:36 - You know, Evan released a song early in this year,

02:40 and it's not to become a singer.

02:42 He had his heart broken, and he literally spent hours,

02:46 days, months crying and said,

02:48 I'm just gonna put all my emotions into a song.

02:51 I'm gonna write a love song for when I was a teenager

02:54 and I had a crush on Selena Gomez,

02:55 and I love the work that she does,

02:57 and I'm just gonna write a song.

02:58 And he wrote this beautiful song

02:59 that Donnie helped put the melodies,

03:01 Dad helped direct, and put it out there.

03:03 And we're still waiting for Selena to say hello.

03:06 - Selena, if you hear this. - I know!

03:08 - He looks every morning at his DMs.

03:10 He wants to see, he's like, she didn't DM me yet.

03:12 I'm like, someday.

03:13 - Patience. - Someday.

03:14 - Patience is coming. - As I'm teaching him.

03:15 And sometimes it might not ever happen at all, you know?

03:18 But-- - But at least he tried.

03:19 - Yeah, and at least he processed a hard breakup,

03:23 I think in a very healthy way,

03:26 instead of, you know, going to the bar like Mom did.

03:29 - You mentioned Donnie.

03:30 Fans love you guys together,

03:33 and I read that he fainted

03:34 when he saw one of your recent campaigns.

03:36 Is that true? - Oh my God.

03:37 - How did that, please tell me more.

03:38 - I mean, I wouldn't go so far as to say he totally fainted,

03:42 but he did, he literally fell off his chair,

03:46 he fell off a treadmill, he couldn't believe it.

03:48 He was like, he's like, I thought,

03:51 he's like, of course I knew that you could,

03:53 had the potential to do a shoot like this with Skims,

03:56 and Carmen Electra, but you know,

03:58 I haven't done those kind of Maxim Magazine FHM,

04:01 you probably have no idea what I'm talking about,

04:03 but it's okay.

04:04 - I don't know what FHM is.

04:05 - They were these cool, like, magazines

04:08 where they would just have, you know,

04:10 the girls in the business, like,

04:13 either riding a hot car, or hosting down a Ferrari.

04:17 But we did an homage to that,

04:19 and it was just, it was fun to be able

04:21 to still do it at 50.

04:23 - That whole campaign was iconic,

04:25 you looked incredible. - It was pretty great.

04:27 - Okay, so you guys have been together for so many years,

04:30 when did you know he was the one?

04:33 - I knew during the taping of my VH1 show

04:37 when I was interviewing him.

04:39 I was talking to him, and he was answering a question,

04:43 and I remember just having a moment of like, hmm.

04:45 He was articulate, he was funny,

04:48 he listened, he engaged, he was good looking.

04:51 And by the end of the interview,

04:53 I gave him my phone number, and I had never,

04:55 I've never given my phone number as the first person,

04:58 I'd never approached anyone first in Hollywood, ever.

05:01 He was the first one, and at 40 years old,

05:03 I was like, here's my digits.

05:05 And then I just need him to catch up.

05:08 To where I was all in.

05:11 - Yeah, oh, that's okay.

05:12 And what makes him, like, the best husband?

05:14 Like, one or two qualities, or you're just like,

05:15 dang, I can't believe he's mine.

05:16 - Oh my God.

05:18 Well, how can I not put loyalty, and romantic?

05:23 He's so romantic.

05:24 He sends me flowers every Monday

05:28 that say, "Just 'cause," since we've been together.

05:32 - That is so sweet. - Since we've been together.

05:33 Every, in the hotel room I'm staying,

05:35 I've been here for a month,

05:36 I have four, four beautiful orchids that say, "Just 'cause."

05:40 'Cause every, he doesn't forget, no matter where I'm at.

05:42 It's amazing, he's so sweet.

05:43 - Everybody, please take notes.

05:45 - It's true.

05:46 - And, okay, I mean, it doesn't sound like you guys

05:48 need to do anything to keep it spicy, or to keep it fun,

05:50 but is there something you guys still do

05:52 to kinda keep it fun, keep it fresh?

05:54 - Date nights, you know, and we took that from other people

05:56 that were doing it right, you know?

05:58 We're like, let's hear what they're doing.

06:00 And it's also about staying curious with one another,

06:03 'cause I think sometimes we tend to turn into roommates,

06:05 or workmates, so you wanna just be able to,

06:08 be able to find the curiosity in your partner,

06:13 no matter how much you think you know them.

06:15 You know, there's true events, real events going on.

06:17 How do you feel?

06:18 You ask the question, how do you feel about that?

06:20 And I think that that takes your relationship

06:22 to the next level.

06:22 - So when did you realize that you wanted

06:24 to get into beauty and makeup?

06:26 - You know, when I started to care about ingredients,

06:29 especially as you get older, you wanna live

06:32 as long as you can for your kids.

06:34 So I started being more cautious in the food area,

06:36 and then I went into beauty care,

06:38 and I looked into certain brands to see if, like,

06:42 they had clean ingredients, or this.

06:44 I was shocked to find out that the last time

06:46 the FDA regulated makeup was 80 years ago.

06:50 They trust the manufacturers, to be like,

06:53 yeah, we swear it's safe.

06:54 I'm like, I don't trust anybody.

06:56 So I said, I have to do my own work.

06:59 I have to build a company from the ground up

07:02 so I can stand behind it and know

07:03 that the ingredients are good,

07:06 and we'll do our best to kind of crack the code

07:09 on certain things.

07:10 Like, foundation has always been known

07:12 to have a lot of bad ingredients

07:14 'cause your skin absorbs it.

07:15 Mascara's been known to have huge hormonal disruptors,

07:19 and so I was like, let me try to make a mascara

07:22 without hormone disruptors,

07:23 and that's what we just launched recently.

07:25 - I was gonna ask about that.

07:26 So I have straight, short eyelashes,

07:28 so I'm very excited to try your mascara.

07:30 How did you decide you wanted to do mascara?

07:33 I know you already have a bronzer,

07:34 you have some lip glosses.

07:35 Why was mascara the next move for you?

07:37 - Mascara was the next move because I couldn't find

07:40 other brands that had the ingredients

07:43 that I wanted to stand behind.

07:45 And because they're so close to your eyes

07:47 and we absorb all the ingredients,

07:51 but mascara is really known.

07:54 Like, a lot of them have aluminum in it,

07:56 there's some metals in it,

07:57 and the hormone disruptors, I'm already messed up.

08:00 I don't need more hormone disruptors, you know?

08:02 So I wanted to do something that has those good ingredients

08:04 but also actually works.

08:06 Now, a lot of the ones,

08:08 mascaras that you guys see out there,

08:09 they're like, look at all the,

08:11 they've got lash extensions in the mascara.

08:16 They might go up to here, but there is plastic.

08:20 You're putting like microplastic

08:22 on your eyes and into your systems.

08:24 So this is a, we build an amazing mascara

08:28 that builds naturally.

08:30 So you can put on a layer and then come back later on

08:32 to go out that night and put on more and more and more,

08:35 and you won't have those weird spider-looking eyes.

08:37 You'll just have clean, beautiful lashes.

08:40 - I love it, love to hear that.

08:41 And I know your makeup is cruelty-free, vegan.

08:44 What was the hardest thing for you

08:45 that maybe was unexpected

08:46 when you were launching your brand?

08:48 - Just how hard it is to launch a brand.

08:50 And especially in the beauty industry,

08:52 when you have to go up against the giants,

08:55 you know, you're going up against those, you know,

08:56 CoverGirls and Maybellines and other celebrities.

08:58 So it's like, how do you stand out?

09:00 Well, I wanted to stand out by knowing that people

09:03 know that I'm pretty transparent about a lot of things.

09:07 I'll talk about Botox, I'll talk about,

09:08 you ask me the question, I'll tell you the answer.

09:11 So I feel like if I got behind a beauty brand,

09:14 if people know, okay, she's not gonna mess around,

09:15 she's gonna use it on her face, it's gonna be good.

09:18 - It's the real thing.

09:19 You have several products.

09:20 If you had to pick one, which one's your favorite?

09:21 - Ooh, God.

09:22 - I know, it's like picking a baby, but.

09:24 - Oh my God, that's really hard.

09:27 I mean, ugh!

09:29 - Sorry.

09:29 - I mean, I'm in love with the mascara

09:32 'cause it's my baby right now and took so long,

09:34 but I'm a gloss-aholic and we launched with glosses.

09:37 And this, you know, they're good for your ingredients,

09:39 but they're also moisturizing.

09:41 A lot of times, you know, lip glosses can be like,

09:43 (imitates whirring)

09:45 and you get that weird stretchy stuff.

09:46 This, you can apply and apply and apply, talk all day,

09:49 and it's just shiny and good for you.

09:51 - Your makeup right now looks amazing.

09:53 Your lip gloss is like shimmering and you just look amazing.

09:55 Do you have any makeup tips that you maybe

09:58 have learned along the way while making your makeup brand

10:00 that you wanna share?

10:01 - I did, I realized the importance of putting some type

10:05 of a primer underneath your eyeshadow.

10:08 And that could really be your concealer.

10:10 A lot of people just stick it under their eyes,

10:12 but you should put it on your eyelids

10:14 and then put a little loose powder on

10:17 before you put on your shadows.

10:18 It goes on easier and it stays longer.

10:20 But also, the importance of curling your eyelashes.

10:24 You mentioned that you had straight eyelashes.

10:26 You should not even start with mascara

10:29 until you curl your eyelashes.

10:31 It makes all the difference in the world.

10:33 Mascara doesn't have a heating tool with it yet.

10:37 I didn't invent that yet.

10:38 But you definitely wanna curl them

10:40 and then find a mascara that has that black, black pigment

10:45 that makes it punch really more like ours does.
