Senior royals honour war dead at remembrance festival as Queen rests

Prince Charles, William and Kate have paid tribute to the war dead at an annual commemorative event on Saturday night. The Festival of Remembrance was attended by senior members of the royal family and Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The Queen was not in attendance – marking only the sixth time she has missed the special occasion. But she is expected to be present at the ceremony at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. The 95-year-old monarch was ordered to rest by royal doctors just over three weeks ago, and spent a night in hospital on October 20 undergoing preliminary tests.
