00:03 Gale, how do you feel to be here tonight?

00:05 You were at Latin Music Week with so many other women.

00:07 What's the week been like for you?

00:09 - Oh my God, it's been so exciting and empowering

00:12 and inspiration.

00:14 (speaking in foreign language)

00:15 I'm so blessed to be here

00:17 and surrounded by such amazing artists.

00:20 And everyone looks amazing.

00:21 And I'm just grateful to be here tonight.

00:24 - Something amazing happened this year.

00:26 You're nominated for Best New Artist

00:28 at the Latin Grammys.

00:30 But how did, when you found out, what did you do?

00:34 What went through your mind?

00:36 - I screamed so hard.

00:38 This is something that I've been dreaming

00:40 since I was seven years old when I wrote my first song.

00:42 I always knew that I wanted to do this.

00:44 So it's such a blessing.

00:45 And I'm so happy to be celebrating every day

00:48 until the Latin Grammys come.

00:50 But very, very happy for this Best New Artist.

00:54 You only get to be nominated in that once.

00:57 I'm happy, happy, so happy to be nominated.

01:00 - So I know you dropped your album,

01:01 but is there anything else that you're working on?

01:03 I'm sure you're writing a bunch, recording a bunch.

01:05 So what can we expect from you?

01:07 - I'm working on new music.

01:08 I'm very excited.

01:10 But I have a release.

01:12 This month is full of surprises.

01:14 We need to stay in touch and stay tuned.

01:17 There's a collaboration with an artist

01:19 that I admire so much from Mexico.

01:22 Yes, so stay tuned.

01:23 Very excited for everything that's coming.

01:26 - Is it, well, no, I don't wanna ask you

01:28 'cause I don't wanna ruin it, but.

01:29 - Ask me, it doesn't matter.

01:30 - Música Mexicana?

01:31 - No, but there's something coming up like that soon.

01:37 But that song in particular, no.

01:40 - Okay, okay, cool.

01:41 - But it's still very exciting.

01:42 - Okay, one last question.

01:45 What's the most, besides the Latin Grammy nomination,

01:48 what's the most unexpected thing

01:49 that's happened to you this year?

01:52 - Oh my God, I went on tour with Juanes on Europa,

01:56 in España, and it was amazing.

01:59 Just being able to connect and perform my songs

02:01 and know everyone, you know?

02:05 And some galleons in the crowd singing back to me.

02:08 Insane. - Of course.

02:10 - I know, but still, it was my first time feeling that.

02:12 And it was so amazing, and I'm just very, very happy.

02:16 And I feel so much gratitude

02:17 for everything that's happening.

02:19 It's been a rollercoaster ride of,

02:22 (speaking in foreign language)

02:23 this year has been like that,

02:25 but I'm just taking it all in and living it.

02:29 Being very present and enjoying the moment.

02:31 But I would have to say that,

02:32 performing live and opening for Karlie Garcia too.
