Bankman-Fried Lawyers Block Remote Testimony From Ukraine FTX Victim
  • 7 months ago
Prosecutors filed a request to allow an FTX customer located in Ukraine to testify at the trial via video conference since he cannot travel due to Ukraine's wartime laws preventing men from leaving the country. The witness is a young man who lost a substantial portion of his life savings invested in FTX when Russia invaded Ukraine earlier this year. Sam Bankman-Fried's lawyers said he does not consent to the remote testimony. Prosecutors argue remote testimony is important since many FTX customers were internationally dispersed, and coordinating travel for witnesses would be extremely complicated.
