What do you foresee Penang to be in five years?

00:10 so we must believe in our own vision

00:13 to be a state, the tagline is family focus,

00:19 clean and green state that inspires the nation.

00:33 There are four major team in the 2030 vision,

00:38 ranging from upgrading the economy,

00:43 the living standard, the livability,

00:46 sustainability, climate resilience.

00:49 So within each team, there are four strategic initiative,

00:54 and below each strategic initiative,

00:58 there are projects, program, policy

01:01 that we want to promote so that we can achieve

01:05 the team and the objective.

01:07 So ultimately, sustainability,

01:10 higher standard of living, better paying jobs.

01:16 We also do something like happiness index.

01:20 So it is, you can see from all this,

01:23 we want the people to be happy,

01:26 we want a balanced development,

01:30 focus on green, living, public transport.

01:35 That is sort of what we hope to see Penang

01:44 in five years or seven.

01:46 By the end of 2030, we should have a stronger foundation

01:50 to bring the state to another level of development.

01:55 That is, we should be,

01:59 we can be classified as a developed states by then,

02:03 in terms of the various yardstick, income level,

02:08 unemployment rate, poverty rate, and so on and so forth.
