Liverpool headlines 3 October: Bill’s closes & Black History Month celebrations
  • 7 months ago
It appears to be the end of the road for Bill's as the Liverpool One restaurant has boarded up its windows and removed all signage. At least twenty six of the chain's sites have closed over the past three years with rising energy costs being partly to blame.

Next, and the Northern Forest project has been busy expanding woodlands with the planting of six million trees over the past five years. The project aims to plant fifty million trees by 2043 around Liverpool and other northern cities to enhance wellbeing and help tackle climate change.

And finally, October is black history month which means there will be plenty going on across the city to mark the occasion. From breathtaking performances to walking tours, you can find out everything you need to know at LiverpoolWorld.uk
