00:20 the mother is not really supposed to leave the house
00:22 but at the same time I didn't want a house that looked like a guiwu
00:25 If the house looks really scary
00:28 then the question would be why would the main character choose to live in a place like that
00:31 As you know like when we film I think by day nine we would have shot every corner
00:36 and so the question is how do you design the interior of the house in such a way
00:41 that we can shoot in it comfortably for 20 over days
00:44 and yet still find new angles to keep it interesting for the audience
00:47 So those are the challenges I face during pre-production

01:05 and it has like characteristics from the 70s
01:07 and I think the owner had a lot of the original walls and fittings left
01:11 But we did adjustments like we painted the walls
01:14 We ascribed certain meanings to certain colours
01:18 not just in terms of the furniture
01:20 but also in terms of the costumes, the wardrobe and the props as the film progresses
01:25 and there's a meaning to it
01:26 When you see something old, there often is a story behind something that you don't know yet
01:32 I think audiences will discover that certain colours have got certain meanings
