Indonesian gamelan includes the Balinese gamelan. Balinese people choose to call it "Gambelan". This gamelan differs from Javanese gamelan in that the wilah (blade on saron) is thicker and the pencon (gamelan form similar to bonang) is larger and has a faster pace. The explosive, fast-paced sound of Balinese gamelan, as well as a more dynamic gending section, make it particularly distinctive.
