Western Power has revealed Perth suburbs that would allow the forces to be transferred to the underground. The city of Stirling suburbs, which will be provided with underground power, are parts of Osborne Park, Tuart Hill, Joondanna and Stirling. The new suburbs announced will start construction from the middle of 2025 to the middle. Stuart Jardine, CEO of Stirling, said that vantages of underground power would mean higher property values for hosts in the selected suburbs and a cleaner street view. “Considering benefits of underground power, TUPP is the most fair way to replace hills of aging with cost -sharing arrangements between all parties,” he said. “As city and our partner Western Power will reach residents of OSborne Park as it progresses to share more details, including information about project, indicator costs from city.” Since June 2023, the ten local WA government has dedicated itself to the state's newly targeted underground power program . This will provide 50,000 WA property with a safer and more reliable power supply. As part of project, distribution power lines are placed underground and the transmission lines remain from hill.
