Maggie May’s in Trongate recently underwent a full renovation and was transformed into Maggie’s Rock ‘n’ Rodeo, complete with a Bucking Bronco.

00:12 the Hoedown which is our basement bar.

00:15 We are re-open and we cannot wait to meet you all.

00:18 We're now in our absolutely fantastic main bar area and as you can see when you look

00:23 around we have changed some stuff but it's still the good old Maggie's.

00:27 We've got our live entertainment stage ready and instead of one or two acts a night we've

00:32 got live music five nights a week from Wednesday all the way through to Sunday every evening

00:38 and from live bands to duos all that is all there to entertain you and come in and get

00:45 a drink along with some brand new cocktails including our Cotton Eye Joe cocktail and

00:50 Mudslide.

00:51 We also have a new range of Americana beers and can you check out our brand new Scotland

00:58 flag feature in the gantry.

01:03 This is brand new to Maggie's and we have our very own rodeo riders and we want to welcome

01:11 you and invite you to come down and see if you can beat the time on the clock.

01:16 It is such a fun night to spend with your friends, bring them all down, group bookings,

01:20 everything or just come down every Wednesday to Sunday from four o'clock we have the bull

01:27 pit open and we want you to come and test out your bull riding skills.

01:33 This is program A and it gets faster as it goes further on and so at 30 seconds it gets

01:42 harder and starts faster and bucking more and only 12 people have managed to last two

01:50 minutes on this because it gets so fast.

01:55 You can do it.

01:56 Is it like constantly blown up?

01:59 No, we put the two things in when it's not in use.

02:56 We've had a six week program of works where we've actually remained open at the weekends

03:01 So it's been pretty hectic, but we've done an entire new revamp of the basement and turned

03:07 it into obviously the fabulous whole down.

03:09 So everyone will notice a massive change, but we've also introduced elements like the

03:14 bull pit and that allowed us to change seating, all sorts of stuff.

03:17 The bar gantry got changed and all the things to bring the venue to life and countryify

03:23 it.

03:24 That's what we worked on.

03:25 We've also done a wee revamp of our food menu and not only have we kept the classic burgers

03:31 and nachos, but we've also introduced a whole host of party platters.

03:35 My favorite's the chip platter.

03:37 Five different types of chips, five different sauces.

03:40 What more could you want?

03:41 Just look up the alcohol.

03:42 But we also have introduced pizza slices.

03:45 So we've got strips, wee slabs and big slabs for you all to share and enjoy as a group

03:50 or individually.
