Dans la ville de Rizzicomi les lettres anonymes dénoncent la terreur imposée par le clan Créa, soupçonné d’appartenir à la ‘Ndrangheta, une mafia de type féodal. Celle-ci occupe un territoire, représente une famille, un clan. Le commissaire Morrone est chargé de trouver une faille dans cet univers d’omerta. Cette quête va durer 7 ans.
