Hundreds of soldiers to be moved north to Townsville

There are winners and losers in this major army repositioning announced today which will see Adelaide lose 8-hundred military personnel. As part of a restructure of the army soldiers will be moved from Adelaide to Townsville and Darwin as the army increases its focus on the pacific region. Townsville is the biggest winner and will soon host all of the army's armoured vehicles and half of its helicopter fleet.
