Hugh Jackman’s estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has broken her silence following the news of their split after 27 years of marriage.
Appearing on Australian radio show “The Kyle & Jackie O Show” Monday, Furness left co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson red faced after accidentally dialing her number live on air.
“We have actually called you by mistake, it’s ridiculous,” Sandilands told Furness, 67, Daily Mail reports.
“We didn’t mean to actually call you. But now you’re here, we won’t go into it. We love you, we hope you’re well.”
“Thank you guys, I really appreciate it. You’re really sweet,” Furness responded, appearing to be unfazed by the surprise call.
“I just feel it’s too soon,” Sandilands added. “I don’t want to get involved in anything. But we love you, and you ring us when you want to chat.”
Earlier this month, “The Greatest Showman” actor was approached by a cameraman on the streets of NYC just one day after news of the pair’s split came to light.
“I don’t feel quite right talking about it on the street,” Jackman told the pap. “But I appreciate your thoughts, man.”
“It’s a difficult time,” continued “The Wolverine” star.
Earlier this month, “The Greatest Showman” actor was approached by a cameraman on the streets of NYC just one day after news of the pair’s split came to light.
“I don’t feel quite right talking about it on the street,” Jackman told the pap. “But I appreciate your thoughts, man.”
“It’s a difficult time,” continued “The Wolverine” star.
The brief exchange came one day after the “Logan” star issued a joint statement with Furness announcing that they have separated.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple told People.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.”
We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives,” they added.
The pair first met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV show “Correlli” and tied the knot the following year near Melbourne, Australia.
They went on to adopt two children: Oscar, 23 and Ava, 18.
In the days leading up to the announcement, Furness was spotted walking around NYC sans her wedding ring.
For his part, Jackman also decided to forgo his wedding ring in the days after the pair’s split was made known.
