U.S. President Joe Biden joined United Auto Workers strikers on their picket line Tuesday as their work stoppage against major carmakers hit day 12, a demonstration of support for organized labor apparently unparalleled in presidential history.

00:19 Folks, look, one thing I'm going to stress on, to be very brief.

00:24 The fact of the matter is that you guys, UAW, you saved the automobile industry back in 2008 and before.

00:32 Made a lot of sacrifices, gave up a lot, and the companies were in trouble.

00:38 But now they're doing incredibly well, and guess what? You should be doing incredibly well too.

00:48 Folks, stick with it because you deserve the significant raise you need and other benefits.
