U.S. Senator Robert Menendez has been indicted for accepting bribes in exchange for attempts to increase U.S. assistance to Egypt. Menendez, a Democrat who heads the Senate's Foreign Relations Committee and has co-sponsored several bills supporting Taiwan, denies the charges and says he will fight them in court.
