00:04 >> Jeff, we asked Jeff about it, but you had a streak there during the game,
00:07 it was 15 straight receptions.
00:08 It's for the fourth most in school history, probably the most comfortable,
00:12 at least it looked, since you've been here.
00:14 What made you feel so poised for that?
00:17 >> I mean, I don't know, I just felt like I was going out there and playing and
00:22 our guys were getting open and I was able to sit back there and
00:26 the line did a good job blocking.
00:27 So it's a combination of a lot of things, but I think that's part of my game.
00:31 When I get into a groove, I feel like I'm pretty dangerous.
00:33 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:39 >> Mark, excuse me, you looked at Boston College and
00:42 how they competed and almost upset Florida State.
00:44 How much was that motivation for you guys going into this game to have that type of
00:48 start and performance that you had?
00:51 >> Yeah, we knew that Florida State was a team that was ranked nationally and
00:53 we knew seeing how close that Boston College was to them.
00:56 We just knew what type of team we were.
00:58 We don't really look at names, we just play our best game.
01:00 Like, go out and play, we play our best game and nobody can beat us.
01:05 >> All right, if both of you guys can just talk about when this is the first game
01:08 where we really saw the offense take that next step and really go out there and
01:12 score, how much confidence does this give you moving forward from here?
01:15 >> Yeah, I think we saw glimpses of that in all the games we've played where
01:21 we've put stretches of football together as an offensive side of the ball.
01:25 Where it looked really good.
01:27 And so just to be able to do that for almost the whole game felt really good.
01:32 And I think we just have to build off that and obviously stuff to clean up.
01:37 But I feel like it'll be good for us coming in next week.
01:41 >> Yeah, I'm like Jack said, we have a few things out there.
01:44 So it's a lot of whips on the offense side of the ball.
01:48 Just play our best ball and I don't think nobody can mess with it.
01:51 >> Jack, coach was talking about just your progression and
01:57 being more comfortable trusting what you're seeing in practice and
02:01 not pressing in games.
02:03 What have you guys worked on specifically to lead you a day like today where it
02:07 looked like everything was flowing and you were comfortable and
02:09 didn't bother to make plays?
02:10 >> I think just sitting back there and trusting it and like coach said,
02:16 just using my eyes and seeing it and believing it and just letting the ball rip.
02:20 So like I said earlier, we can talk about all the completions and all that.
02:26 But if receivers aren't getting open, if lines aren't blocking,
02:29 it's not gonna happen.
02:31 So yeah, but I feel like I did a better job of standing there today and
02:37 strong the ball.
02:38 >> Jack, did you feel like this was gonna be a game with more deep shots cuz
02:44 you took a bunch more than we've seen and I don't think you missed any of them.
02:49 >> I think it was all going within the flow of the game.
02:53 That's not something we were huge on to open the week up.
02:57 We weren't thinking that, hey, we're gonna take a bunch of shots, but
03:00 that's just kinda how it worked out.
03:02 And some of the plays, usually the ball wasn't going deep, but
03:08 they were giving us looks to where we were able to take advantage of that.
03:11 >> Mario.
03:14 >> Juar was in here.
03:17 >> Yeah, he said we left a lot of meat on the bone.
03:19 How much better can you guys play?
03:21 >> Yeah, I think this is probably one of the more complete games that we played.
03:26 But every time you go back and watch the film,
03:29 there's always something you can get better at.
03:31 And we strive to play a perfect game, but in reality,
03:35 I don't think anyone has ever played a perfect game of football.
03:38 But that's kinda the expectation that we set for ourselves.
03:41 But we're gonna keep trying until we get there.
03:46 >> Mario, obviously last year's game against Boston College was a much
03:49 different outcome, much different vibe.
03:51 But this year now, with being able to have the win, you had a season high today.
03:55 I guess how much confidence that give you, what's the vibe like right now, and
03:59 how much is that kind of, do you hope to carry that over into NC State next week?
04:03 >> I mean, it feel good, but I'm just gonna stay humble.
04:05 Every opportunity I get, I'm just gonna take advantage.
04:07 I know it's a lot of playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.
04:10 So every time you get your chance, you gotta show them.
04:14 >> Yeah, you guys have a short week, and you're the team traveling.
04:17 What are the key factors as veterans to not have that become a disadvantage?
04:23 >> I would think just enjoy tonight and then be able to reset tomorrow and
04:29 really lock in and focus.
04:31 And we're gonna have to cram a little bit more studying in early.
04:35 And we're gonna have to do a good job, I think, of taking care of our bodies to
04:40 come tomorrow and Monday and be able to have a good practice.
04:45 Cuz we're gonna not have an off day on Monday, so have a good practice on Monday.
04:48 >> How do you guys describe Coach Braum as a play caller,
04:53 kinda knowing that you're gonna get chances to throw deep and go deep?
04:56 And even having the little trick plays thrown in there too to make things fun.
05:01 >> Yeah, he always talks about how he wants to be aggressive.
05:04 And you can't play a football game to not lose the game, you have to play to win.
05:10 So that means being aggressive, and that's something that he preaches to us,
05:14 and that's something that we try to reflect off of him.
05:16 >> That's another thing I can say about Coach Braum, he play to win.
05:20 He wanna take shots, he wanna take any chance to win.
05:22 >> All right, guys.
