Right after the Loy Krathong festivities in Bangkok (here a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH-cu2uCw0k) we rushed to the airport the next day to catch a flight to Chiang Mai so we can witness the last day of the Yi Peng Festival.

This time, besides releasing flower boats with candles into water, they also lid up these floating lanterns to release them into the night sky. Paired with fireworks, live music everywhere, stunning over the top floats and that all paired with amazing street food and cold beers.
