00:00 Badrul Hisham Shaharin has acknowledged that he did not attend police interviews despite

00:05 receiving multiple summons from Bukit Aman prior to his arrest last night.

00:09 However, the Bersatu activist said it was because the report he had lodged against Youth

00:13 and Sports Minister Hannah Yeo over a church visit had not been investigated.

00:18 In March, Badrul, better known as Che Gu Bard, lodged a report against Yeo, accusing her

00:22 of Christian evangelism via a program organized by Impact Malaysia that was linked to her

00:26 ministry.

00:27 It was reported that police had called up Yeo over the matter and the minister had given

00:31 her statement.

00:32 Badrul was also reported to have given a statement to police, who also spoke to representatives

00:35 of the NGO that organized the event.

00:38 Today, Badrul said he had cooperated with the police as he did not wish to be detained

00:42 for a longer period as he needed to be released earlier and attend the September 16th rally.

00:46 Badrul also insisted that his arrest last night was linked to the Selamatkan Malaysia

00:50 gathering tomorrow, despite police stating that it was over other issues.
