Manchester City defender Kyle Walker goes full Wolf of Wall Street as he unveils new contract extension in hilarious video mimicking Leonardo DiCaprio shouting 'I'm not leaving!'

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has signed a two-year contract extension with the club and unveiled the news in a hilarious video in which the full-back emulated Leonardo DiCaprio in an iconic scene from the film Wolf of Wall Street.

Much speculation has revolved around the 33-year-old's contract situation at the Cityzens, with the England full-back entering into the final year of his previous deal.

While Walker had been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer, Pep Guardiola had also pleaded with him to stay at the club, notably also having dinner with Walker - and it seems the Spanish manager's attempts to retain his star defender have worked.

Walker revealed the news in a video posted on the club's Twitter channel, that showed him speaking to a room full of his team-mates, akin to the character Jordan Belfort's speech in the Martin Scorsese blockbuster.

The England defender, who is seen wearing a full suit and tie like DiCaprio in the film, holds a microphone to his mouth and says quietly, 'I'm not leaving.'

He looks to the floor and repeats himself before shouting 'I'm not leaving' into the microphone, as his teammates jump out of their seats in excitement, singing and chanting at the news.

Walker joined Man City six years ago in a £45million move from Tottenham and during that time has won 13 major trophies.

He was a pivotal part of the club's treble-winning campaign last season, making 39 appearances, but was not in the starting XI for their Champions League final against Inter Milan.

'I'm thrilled to sign a new deal. My future is with Manchester City and that is the best thing for me,' Walker said, speaking on the new deal.

'I've enjoyed every single moment of the past six years at this fantastic club. I have an amazing coach, great team-mates and staff, and our fans are the best. I feel supported on every single level,' he added.

‘The lads have got that hunger again to go and achieve something really special again this season, fingers crossed. I wanted to be a part of it and I didn't want to miss out on that.

‘Us captains have got to demand that. We've set the bar and each year about it how do you get better? How do we get better? We seem to be doing that each year.

‘We've probably gone to the top of the top where to stay there, there is only down because are we going to go and win a Treble again? Who knows? You know, we could do.’
