00:36 And even though it's been 16 years since their last collab,

00:40 their friendships are still going strong.

00:42 - You know that one friend you have,

00:44 like the person you know that so much time can pass

00:48 and then you see them and it's like,

00:50 "Wow, it's like we never left."

00:52 It does make us very emotional when we talk about the song

00:54 because it's very real.

00:56 We believe in each other.

00:57 We, they're very supportive of me

00:59 and I think I feel the same way.

01:04 and people who understand you musically.

01:06 I never stick to one style, but those two get me.

01:08 JT and Timbaland, they respect me a lot.

01:10 - Nelly's unique sound and melodies have drawn admiration

01:13 for many of her fellow artists, including Drake.

01:16 The rapper even brought Nelly on stage to perform

01:18 during one of his Toronto concerts last year.

01:21 - He's a sweetheart.

01:21 He really did, he has that tough love thing

01:24 where he's like, "You know you gotta get on stage

01:26 "with me," and I'm like, "Well, what's,

01:29 "can we just do one song?"

01:30 And he's like, "No, we're gonna do 'I'm Like a Bird'."

01:32 And I'm like, "What?"

01:41 And then afterwards he's like, "I told you so,

01:45 "everybody loved it, blah blah."

01:47 So he's just one of those smart people.

01:49 He's just intelligent.

01:50 He just, he just gets it, obviously.

01:52 - Nelly's had multi-platinum albums, chart-topping hits,

01:55 and has even won a Grammy.

01:56 But for her, nothing tops being a mom.

01:59 - My children have inspired me so much.

02:01 Like, even my oldest, like, we make music together.

02:04 Just being a mother just gives me a lot of purpose.

02:09 It's just kinda cool being able to, like,

02:11 model what my mother taught me, or just her strength,

02:14 her positivity, her intelligence,

02:16 and just trying to just live every day
