00:00 I heard that there will be a new Christmas market in Manila.

00:18 Maybe we should just repeat the same thing.

00:21 Because the MMDA is saying that before Christmas, we might have a new park here in Rojas Boulevard.

00:30 This is what is called Rojas Boulevard Promenade.

00:33 A park that will be built above a covered canal owned by the Philippine Reclamation Authority

00:39 that has a length of 1.6 hectares from Libertad Pumping Station to EDSA Corner Rojas Boulevard in Pasay.

00:46 Earlier, you saw a groundbreaking ceremony here that will start building the park starting tomorrow

00:54 and it will be directed to their target completion date of Christmas.

00:59 And based on the plan, this is a good one,

01:01 there will be a wellness plaza, jogging and bike lanes, multi-purpose court,

01:06 along with a football pitch, pet park, police outpost, and extension office of the MMDA.

01:13 So basically, it's a straightforward park.

01:16 Nothing more, nothing less.

01:18 Last year, the MMDA planned a PRA because instead of leaving the covered canal as it is,

01:26 why not make it a park?

01:28 In their PRAG, the PRA is G, so the park is G.

01:33 The Adopt-a-Park project of Pasay City will also be divided.

01:38 The total bill for this park is P70 million, but it's a dead man in the national budget

01:44 because it will be taken from the savings of the MMDA.

01:48 But the maintenance is a three-way project of the MMDA, Pasay City, and the private partner, Federal Land.

01:55 Aside from the promenade, there are other parks where the MMDA is being built in other parts of Metro Manila,

02:01 including Manila, Pasig, and Taguig, but that's for next year, Connie.
