Este 9 de septiembre se estrenó en el museo de la Diáspora cubana el primer capítulo de la serie documental "Gritos de libertad", del director cubano Carlos Gavilondo, basado en el testimonio de cinco ex prisioneros políticos cubanos. “Gritos de libertad” busca reflejar la historia de la lucha contra la dictadura en Cuba, desde 1959 hasta la actualidad.

01:12 of the fight for freedom in Cuba,

01:22 when considering all the parts equally.
01:25 I think this documentary can serve, first of all, as a denunciation
01:30 of what is actually the intrinsically perverse essence of the Cuban regime,
01:35 of what it is capable of doing to the citizens,
01:41 to the Cubans who dare to dissent and go against that regime of lies and oppression.
01:48 I think that Carlos, as an author, managed, by playing very hard and under a lot of sacrifice,
01:53 by showing his talent, to be where he is today.
01:57 And now he is making this documentary, which has a human, patriotic value,
02:03 and a denunciation for the entire Cuban people,
02:06 and so that the whole world knows what is happening in Cuba.
02:09 And not what happened in history, but what is happening today
02:12 in the Cuban prisons and police units.
02:19 All the decisions are being made to create a platform
02:23 so that the Cuban people have access to this documentary.
02:27 I think it will not be the only one, it will be one of the many,
02:32 which will make them full of energy and, as they say,
02:36 take to the streets and fight for their freedom.
02:39 If there is something that scares the communists in the whole world,
02:45 especially in the international forums, it is when they are asked about the political prisoners,
02:51 about the violations of their human rights,
02:54 because they can no longer justify so many lies, supposedly counter-revolutionary.
02:58 I think that the documentary can serve to maintain a little hope
03:03 that the situation is reversible, and it will be reversible thanks to Cubans
03:09 who will always challenge this oppressive and criminal regime.
03:15 The redaction will be extremely positive,
03:18 because here is the teaching that they were the firstborn,
03:22 it is a school, you understand?
03:24 And it is also a paradigm to follow these political prisoners,
03:27 who are more than political prisoners, they are Cuban heroes,
03:29 to whom the entire people of Cuba deserves great respect.
03:32 With the documentary, what I try and what I would like to do
03:36 is to contribute a grain of sand, as we Cubans say,
03:39 and that once and for all, all, at the beginning,
03:42 we raise our voices to end this dictatorship.

03:51 on the awakening, on the awareness and on the formation of the people of Cuba.
