UK-based space startup Open Cosmos secures $50M in funding for global expansion and satellite development

Open Cosmos, a UK-based small satellite developer, has just secured $50 million in Series B funding from ETF Partners, Trill Impact, and A&G. The company is aiming to use the funding to expand its operations globally, develop larger satellites and constellations for Earth observation, and grow its DataCosmos satellite data analytics platform. Open Cosmos already has several small satellites in orbit and has five more planned for launch by March 2022. Open Cosmos has been generating positive earnings since 2021 and has seen revenues double yearly since 2020, indicating a strong trajectory for the future.
