00:27 In a groundbreaking move, Al Futaim Automotive has now added a new link to the EV value chain

00:34 by developing the region's first IMI-accredited EV trading center, where automotive technicians

00:46 Al Futaim Automotive has also become the lead investor in a game-changing electric two-wheeler

00:52 startup, RIVR, based in India, and soon plans to electrify the UAE's last-mile delivery

01:46 If you recall, back in 2008, we introduced the first electrified powertrain in the marketplace.

01:54 Since then, we have various milestones towards the sustainability in the mobility offer that

02:01 we have within Al Futaim Automotive.

02:04 What we are aiming at very clearly is to secure that we can build an overall ecosystem around

02:10 the EV, not only talking about the pure product, but securing that we have guarantee towards

02:16 the customer that they have the right product, they have the right way to service it, and

02:22 they have the full security to drive it safely on the road so that the entire ecosystem on

02:29 EV is clearly very well understood within the market.

02:37 In Region First, and uniquely right now, we are the only company who has set up a dedicated

02:44 entity that is completely focusing on the e-mobility.

02:48 And we have launched this company in March 2023 with dedicated resources only focusing

02:54 on the transformation and electrification of the mobility market in UAE, starting from

03:01 and spreading over the rest of the GCC.

03:04 It takes a completely different approach to support the customers, to educate the customer,

03:10 and to provide these unique services to them.

03:13 So this is the reason that we have decided to invest in a completely different entity

03:17 with handpicking the right offerings of the products and the brands, and also moving from

03:24 the product-centric approach to a service-centric approach for the entire electrification.

03:32 We have first started with a premium electric vehicle maker, Polestar.

03:37 It's a Swedish brand, it's a high-end performance brand, which is solely focusing on the full

03:43 electric and highly sustainable product offerings.

03:47 And we have also added very recently the world's number one most sold EV brand, Build Your

03:54 Dreams BYD from China.

03:56 We are the exclusive distributor of this brand as well.

04:00 We have recently launched their first product, Auto Tree, which is an affordable full electric

04:05 SUV in the UAE market.
