00:00 We went through a lot of rigorous training.
00:04 Of course, there's so much time that we spent on also working on this album and preparing to debut.
00:12 Because we know that it's a big responsibility for us as Filipinos to be promoting in South Korea.
00:18 So we wanted to show the best of what Filipinos can offer.
00:22 So we really trained everyday for almost like 12 hours.
00:26 What's it like to train? How many hours were you training?
00:30 You had to do voice, learn the language. What was that like?
00:34 The training was very rigorous.
00:39 It's like 12 hours of training with the vocals, language, rap and dance.
00:46 It's just a hard time for everyone to go through.
00:51 But we got through it all. And it's a full circle moment because we're back in the Philippines.
00:55 You guys are so good. I mean from watching all your videos and everything else.
00:59 It's like a wonderful transformation.
01:01 So you went through the training. How many months? 4 months? 3 months?
01:05 3 to 4 months.
01:07 Oh my gosh. 3 to 4 months and then you debuted.
01:09 You debuted in South Korea. What was that like?
01:13 I mean to be on stage with the other groups that were debuting.
01:20 I don't know how many groups were debuting this year.
01:23 But it was a lot. What was that like?
01:25 To be honest, it was such an honor for all of us.
01:28 Because we know it's history for Filipinos to be able to promote in a big platform like that in South Korea.
01:36 And I hope Filipinos and everyone who wants to perform in such big stages like that can do it.
01:46 Because even for us, we went through a lot and it was hard to get there.
01:51 So you were preparing for your friendship which is your debut album.
01:56 What is the concept of this album?
01:59 The theme, the concept, it's so thick.
02:03 Oh yeah.
02:05 Well actually there are many concepts for this.
02:10 But since the title of our album is "Friendship"
02:13 It has the word "ship" in it because our fandom name is ANKOR.
02:19 And basically it's just about our setting sail, our first sail towards our dream, our goal.
02:28 And basically the whole vibe of everything, especially with our title song "16"
02:33 Is just feeling the youthful energy and just having fun, going crazy, doing whatever.
02:39 We have the school concept, the dreamy concept and the magician concept.
02:47 As you can see we're just doing our own things here.
02:50 It's also cool but also in terms of the songs that we have for the album, many different types of songs.
02:58 How is that classified? Because it's by batches.
03:01 How does that work? Your first six, your release, tell me.
03:06 You can tell us. How does that work?
03:09 It has our previous songs from Dream Maker which we already performed
03:13 And some new songs, some new original songs and also our solo songs.
03:18 Which we've never done before and actually we're going to be performing them at our upcoming concert on September 9.
03:26 And we're just so excited to be able to show that.
03:29 And champ, you also have Tagalog songs.
03:32 Yes, that we helped in making the lyrics for because it's a letter to our moms.
03:39 And it's very heartfelt and we just wanted to show that to our parents as well.
03:44 From all the songs that you've put out here in this album and of course that you will be performing at Araneta on the 9th,
03:53 what are the songs that you're most excited to perform, to sing?
03:58 Of course, your parents are there, your fans are there.
04:02 It's like now it's time, take a look at me, Ma.
04:05 So what are the ones that you're so excited you want them to really see you?
04:10 For me, it's our solo songs because we really went through a lot of training to prepare for this,
04:20 to show our angers because we're really going to show a lot of things at the concert.
04:26 Nice. And you, rap?
04:29 Also the solo songs because we prepared a lot for that.
04:36 For me, it's the dance group because we train everyday and we really worked hard on the preparation.
04:47 How about the songs? Okay, 16 of course is your most popular.
04:51 What are the songs that you like to perform? And also who did the Korean songs?
04:57 Oh yeah, the kids did the Korean songs.
05:00 The kids, huh?
05:01 It was so fun to do because I think it's the only full on Korean song.
05:06 Full Korean song, right?
05:08 It was very fun also to shoot.
05:10 This is with Lapilus?
05:11 Yes, this was with Han Sunbaenim of Lapilus, their maknae too.
05:15 It's very cool because all three of us were all sharing age groups, we're very young.
05:21 It was a very cute song, a very fun song which I love very much.
05:25 Okay, so now that we talked about this album, what can your anchors expect?
05:31 Your solo acts will be amazing, of course you're so excited to perform.
05:36 How long will it take? And the songs that you're going to be performing, all the songs are from here?
05:43 Yes, of course.
05:44 And there will also be some special performance that we also prepared but it's all in the wraps for now
05:52 because we just hope that everybody is excited to see them.
05:55 From this album, how do you plan to incorporate Filipino or to showcase a Filipino talent in South Korea
06:04 and of course through your songs and through everything?
06:06 Well, we don't forget to always remember our roots so we still try to incorporate our language, Tagalog, Filipino
06:15 into our songs and also we just know that we're very blessed to be able to have this opportunity
06:26 so we're always thinking of all the Filipino dreamers out there.
06:31 What are the things that you look forward to now that you're back home?
06:34 The food, the places to go, what was the one thing that you were so excited to try that you didn't get to taste in South Korea?
06:42 I was so excited to taste my mom's cooking last time.
06:48 What did she bring here to the hotel?
06:51 Not yet.
06:52 Not yet? It's almost there?
06:54 It's almost there. And then I was so excited to see my mom perform here
07:01 because she hasn't seen my performance yet.
07:06 Just for YouTube?
07:07 Yes, just for YouTube. And I missed my cat.
07:11 Ah, nice. And you?
07:13 For me, my favorite thing here in the Philippines is the sweets.
07:20 I want to try the bico again and the latik. That's what I really want to try.
07:28 That's right, your anchors are watching.
07:30 So you know anchors.
07:33 I'm sure. And you, Ryster?
07:35 Also, the food, Bicol Express, Adobo, Kare-kare.
07:41 That's one restaurant.
07:44 The delicious Filipino food.
07:47 For me, I want to try my favorite food, buttered shrimp.
07:53 Buttered shrimp? Wow, so fancy.
07:57 For me, the street food.
08:00 What?
08:01 The quick-quick, fishball, and the rice.
08:08 I really missed it, especially when we were in South Korea.
08:13 Because not all places have street food.
08:17 There's a specific area where the Korean street food is.
08:22 And here in the Philippines, wherever you go, it's delicious.
08:28 Future plans?
08:30 What do you guys plan?
08:32 So your concert is happening this weekend, September 9 at the Araneta.
08:38 After that, what do you plan to do?
08:40 Are you staying here for a few more days before you head back to South Korea?
08:43 Yes, we're going to be staying here and promote to our Pinoy anchors.
08:49 Because I know they missed us and we missed them too.
08:52 And we're just going to be here indefinitely for...
08:57 I'm not sure.
08:59 But we're going to be promoting our album and more.
09:03 And when we come back to Korea, of course, there's more training.
09:06 Because it's just the beginning for Horizon.
09:09 What happens if you get offered to star in a K-drama?
09:13 Since all of you are handsome.
09:15 Since I love watching K-dramas, I really want to be an actor in South Korea.
09:22 It's also one of my dreams.
09:25 So good luck to me.
09:27 All of your dreams have come true and it's coming true.
09:31 And you know, the world is so big now to have a global pop group such as yourself.
09:37 You're not K-pop. You're not B-pop.
09:40 You're global pop.
09:42 Global, yes.
09:44 [Singing]
10:10 I miss you, Mama.
10:12 I'm going to cry. Thank you.
10:14 Thank you so much, guys. You guys are amazing.
