00:00 Obviously, watching the level that Sasa was playing in the first set, you know, being
00:07 able to win it, it was great for me, you know, to give me more confidence and probably he
00:17 got down earlier being in the second set and he took my chances so it was great.
00:24 Coming into the third set, knowing that I'm playing at a great level for him, it was really
00:32 really tough, you know, and obviously he was struggling a little bit physically in the
00:38 third set but it was great to be able to win in the straight set.
00:44 How does your approach change on break points, whether you are facing them or you have break
00:52 points on your opponents or maybe it doesn't?
00:57 Well honestly it's different but when I'm facing break points down I try not to think
01:11 about this break point down, I try to think about it as a normal point, try to do the
01:17 things that I was doing well, you know, trying to put in my style, trying to go aggressive.
01:25 If I can go to an edge I go to an edge so I try to do it in break point down and of
01:32 course in break point when he was serving as well.
01:37 You know, I try to, if I can do a return volley I'll do it, if I go to an edge in the second
01:46 ball I'll do it, so that's what I'm thinking about in that moment.
01:53 What have you learned from facing Daniil before and how does your level of play right now
02:01 fit with meeting such a tough player in the next match?
02:07 Well last match that I played against Daniil I played tactical, in a tactical game I played
02:18 perfectly, I did pretty well all the things that I had to do against him so I think my
02:28 game switched pretty well against that type of opponent, you know, like Daniil.
02:38 So I'm going to try to do the same things that I did, you know, for example in Indian
02:43 Wells and in Wimbledon and hopefully to get the win and play the same level that I played
02:52 in that match.
02:55 Before the tournament you spoke about how so many people were looking forward to the
03:00 possibility of you versus Novak again and now you're one match away from it, he's one
03:07 match away from it, what do you sense about the anticipation of that possibility right
03:13 now being so close?
03:16 Well obviously it's closer than the beginning of the tournament, we're just one match away
03:30 from that potential final, it could be great to play a final against Novak here in New
03:39 York but both of us have a really tough semi-final so let's see but obviously both of us are
03:53 looking for that potential final.
03:56 Compared to this stage last year, 12 months ago to now, if there's one thing that's changed
04:03 the most in you what would that be?
04:09 Well I think I'm more mature now, I grew up a lot since last year, last year I was facing
04:20 my first semi-final of a Grand Slam, now I'm facing my fourth one so I feel like I'm a
04:31 totally different player, it doesn't matter that last year I got my first Grand Slam,
04:39 I won my first semi-final, my first final of a Grand Slam but I feel like I'm more mature,
04:47 I deal better with the pressure, with that kind of moments, I feel like I'm different,
04:57 different person and different player.
04:59 Going back to last year's US Open, you've had a lot of success in the Grand Slam tournaments,
05:07 do you alter or change anything in your preparation and the way you go into Grand Slam tournaments
05:15 versus other tournaments the rest of the year?
05:20 Not really, I'm doing the same things, before matches I'm doing the same things, mentally
05:34 I can change a little bit, mentally going to a match at the best of five but I try to
05:42 do the same things, I'm doing well during the season, why I have to change it?
05:51 I just do the same things.
