US rejects newly depicted South China Sea map, seeks consular access to US detainee in Russia
  • 8 months ago
US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel says the US "rejects the unlawful maritime claims" of China on a newly adapted map of the South China Sea.

He also speaks about the consistent policy of the US toward a two-state solution in Israel and Palestine. "There has been absolutely no change in policy when it comes to that region of the world," he adds. Patel also talks about deepening relations between Russia and North Korea and the US trying to get consular access to Michael Travis Leake, its detained citizen in Russia. (Video Courtesy of AFP)
