00:00 Let's go to Vegas where Celine Dion reportedly remains amid her health battle.
00:04 We all go through tough times.
00:08 It's been eight months since Celine revealed she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome,
00:13 an incurable neurological disorder that causes muscles to become rigid and spasm.
00:18 I'm doing everything that I can to recuperate and I have hope.
00:24 In a new interview, Celine's older sister Claudette Dion tells Hello Canada
00:29 that the 55-year-old has a team of doctors, but there's little they or the family can do to alleviate her pain.
00:36 The symptoms are not that well managed.
00:39 Common medications are Valium or Klonopin, which can help the muscles relax.
00:44 And then there's side effects like cognitive impairment, so that makes it challenging.
00:49 Claudette adds, "There are spasms. They're impossible to control.
00:53 You know how people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf?
00:57 It's a bit like that, but in all muscles."
01:00 When you see me like this and when I see you like that.
01:05 Back in May, the mother of three confirmed that she had canceled all of her remaining performances for the foreseeable future.
01:11 She's reportedly being cared for by her sister Linda at the singer's Las Vegas home.
01:16 Wishing you love, happiness, the best of health.
