00:26 As per many surveys, Modi still remains popular in his second term.

00:32 As per a CSDS survey of May 2023, 43% people want to see him as the Prime Minister.

00:41 This is a marginal drop of 1% compared to 2014.

00:46 So he still retains his popularity.

00:48 And why is this important?

00:49 This is important because elections in India are increasingly becoming presidential style,

00:55 which means a prime ministerial phase versus a prime ministerial phase.

00:59 And the form of the captain of the NDA or the BJP is very important for the BJP.

01:04 Now, let's understand the vote which a candidate gets consists of three parts.

01:13 One part or one percentage of the votes he gets is because of his own image.

01:28 of votes which will be automatically transferred to the candidate.

01:32 And the third part is because of the state or the national leadership.

01:36 So one third votes a candidate gets is on account of his own image, one third because

01:42 of the party symbol and one third because of the leadership.

01:46 The thumb rule is one third each for all these parts.

01:50 As per Access by India exit poll, for 37% of the voters in 2019 elections, the prime

01:57 ministerial phase was the most important consideration when they went out to vote.

02:03 So can Modi take BJP past the majority mark again on his personal charisma remains to

02:11 Can India make the contest local and neutralize the strength of the BJP?
