Blade Lord is a side-scrolling action game released in 1991 by IREM (former of CAPCOM and SNK). The action and control feel are relatively weak, and the plot is okay. The style of the game is also pretty good, with a strong European and American fantasy background and dark graphics, but the heroine has the face of a Japanese high school student.. The overall plot is a relatively old-fashioned hero saving a beauty. At the end, it is discovered that the heroine has been assimilated by the snake girl, which was relatively rare at the time.
