00:27 the Philippine Coast Guard and the Indian Coast Guard

00:31 signed a Memorandum of Understanding

00:33 to strengthen maritime cooperation between the two countries.

00:38 According to Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Shambhu Kumaran,

00:41 this will greatly help the capacity of the Philippine and Indian troops

00:46 and will also help to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.

00:52 In the MOU on a few areas,

00:54 the MOU covers the entire domain of Coast Guard to Coast Guard engagement.

00:59 But maritime law enforcement, maritime search and rescue,

01:03 and maritime pollution response,

01:05 these are the key areas that were highlighted in the conversation.

01:10 We also had the first ever bilateral meeting

01:12 between our two Coast Guards in Delhi during Admiral Abu's visit.

01:17 Recently, China released their new map with a 10-dash line.

01:22 And not only the Philippines, but also India.

01:27 Ambassador Kumaran said that it is important to stand up for the affected countries.

01:32 Just like the Philippines and China, India and China are also fighting for territory.

01:38 I would express my solidarity with the sentiment in the Philippines

01:42 with regard to such efforts at what I would call cartographic expansionism.

01:48 I think that's what's happening.

01:49 As you would notice, all the countries are issuing very strong statements.

01:53 And that indicates that there is clear rejection.

01:58 On the issue of rice, Ambassador said that for now,

02:02 communication between the Philippines and India is ongoing

02:05 to increase the supply to the country.

02:08 Ambassador Kumaran also asked for their success in the Moon mission.

02:13 And that India also has a solar mission to study the sun in the Milky Way.

02:19 Tomorrow, we are launching our solar mission called Aditya L1.

02:24 And in all of this, we have been engaging very actively with our partners.
