The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government will hold a hearingon Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. ET. The hearing, "Government Litigation and the Need for Reform," will examine and expose how different aspects of government litigation require reform due to rampant and far-reaching misuse. The hearing will also focus on civil asset forfeiture, the practice of "sue and settle," and how flawed agency policies force defendants to establish "settlement slush funds."
