In Production in 2025, Brand New Design Direction, New BMW Vision Neue Klasse Concept 2025

The BMW Vision Neue Klasse is a thin-veiled EV concept that will enter production in 2025 and will bring a new design direction to the brand.

This is what the next generation of BMWs will look like, with Vision Neue Klasse touted as the company's rebirth for a new era; This era will focus heavily on the company's deepening trajectory towards electric vehicles with an entirely new, custom architecture.

It's no coincidence that this concept follows the naming tradition introduced in the 60s, when the original Neue Klasse served for decades as the brand's sporty, driver-focused outline. With the Vision Neue Klasse, the Bavarian company is showing the public how it expects the next line of vehicles to look and perform.

Future BMW EVs will be based on the Neue Klasse platform, and the launch of six new models will be confirmed between 2025 and 2027. Vision Neue Klasse features the first entrant, a small electric sedan with a footprint similar to the current 3 Series. It will go into production two years later.

Double kidney "grills" at the front are capable of displaying 3D animations that will be triggered when the driver walks towards the vehicle. Headlights are incorporated into the design, retaining the dual elements despite losing the circle/circle graphic that has been common for years. Also notable is the "shark nose" nose, a throwback to the more traditional BMW styling found in the 70s and 80s.

Perhaps the biggest setback is the low archline and large glass area; two factors that will increase visibility and usability. The aforementioned beltline ends in BMW's traditional "Hofmeister Kink", while E Ink elements at the bottom of the side windows are also featured in the exterior welcome array.

Complementing the look are the muscular fender arches that house the 21-inch aerodynamic wheels, and the concept is painted in an interesting bright hue dubbed "Joyful Gloss". Finally, at the rear are impressive 3D-printed taillights spread over several levels in a design that shows depth.

On the seats you will find shiny cord fabric instead of leather; the front seats are designed to be floor-mounted via a single bracket. BMW says this design choice frees up interior space for rear passengers.
